School CounselingOur school counseling program offers a wide variety of opportunties, some are listed below. In addition to these services, our counselor is involved with planning and facilitating our RCA House Program and fundraising for student activities.
Offered Counseling Services:- Social-emotional classroom lessons/ interventions provided/available to ALL students PreK-8
- Short-term small group & individual counseling for a few students
- Crisis counseling & deescalation
- Peer mediation using restorative practices
- Parent consultation/workshops
- Community referrals & collaboration
- School-wide activities that promote positive school culture
- 504 Plan Development

Title 1 Services
Our Title 1 Tutor services Kindergarten through 4th grade, Elyria student in 20th percentile and below in Reading and Math. Those services use a pletheria of research-based interventions including Heggerty and Acadiance (Reading & Math).

Special Education Services
Our Special Education Tutor works closely with Elyria City School's Special Education Coordinator, Kristen Metz to provide our students with their Service Plans (IEP in public school). In addition, our special education tutor works closely with the School Counselor to establish and implement 504 plans for our students.
